Fitbit Blaze

For Christmas this year I got the Fitbit blaze which I have been using since Christmas day. Here is what I have thought of it so far.

In the box, you got the Fitbit Blaze tracker which looks nicer than other Fitbit watches that I have. Blaze Classic wristband I have had to buy a different wristband as I had a reaction to the original wristband

Stainless steel frame looks really nice also helps the watch stand out. Charging cable it didn’t come with a plug so have to plug into the computer unless you have a plug like your phone plug, which is what I have been using.

The Sensors & Components it has a 3-axis gyroscope, Optical heart rate monitor the heart rate monitor works well it knows when I have got my heart rate up into cardio and fat burn. I use this to make sure I am working hard in my workouts. Altimeter, Ambient light sensor and a vibration motor

The Display is a touchscreen colour LCD which is crystal clear and auto changes to the light. Battery and Power the Fitbit is recommended that you charge every few days they say the battery should be fine for five days. I have been charging my Fitbit between three to five days depending what I have been doing. I do get all my notifications through to it so drains the battery slightly. the battery type is a Lithium-polymer and takes 0ne to two hours to charge. Mine so far has taken an hour to charge.

it has Bluetooth 4.0 which always stays connected to my phone or computer. it also saves up to seven days of detailed motion date minute by minute. Saves daily totals for past 30 days. during exercise, it stores your heart rate date each second and at other times it’s five seconds. I have not had any problems and as always connected to my phone so always syncs the information.

Fitbit Blaze is sweat, rain and splash proof, but is not swim proof. it is recommend taking it off before showering, as it’s best for your skin if the band stays dry and clean.I have not doubled checked that if it is or not as I dot want to break my Fitbit and not advisable unless you are going to buy yourself a new Fitbit. If Fitbit Blaze gets wet or if you sweat in it, remove and completely dry the band before putting it back on. Give your wrist a rest by taking the band off every now and then, and regularly clean your band and wrist. I clean my Fitbit every day before and getting up to make sure I don’t get any skin issues I also wear it on the different wrist at night then I do during the day.

The Fitbit Blaze Classic band is made of a flexible, durable elastomer material similar to that used in many sports watches, and includes a surgical-grade stainless steel buckle and frame. The Gunmetal Blaze features a gunmetal stainless steel buckle and frame made with a premium PVD plating process. The Pink/Gold Blaze features a 22k gold-plated stainless steel buckle and frame also made with a premium PVD plating process.I am allergic to one of the materials in the Fitbit band so had to buy my own band for it.

Like all heart rate tracking technologies, accuracy is affected by physiology, the location of the device, and different movements.Love seeing my heart rate as it also then shows me if I need to work harder or not in my exercises Environmental requirements the device should Operate between  -10° to 45° C for it to function correctly and a maximum operating altitude: 8,535 m

Syncing & Notifications it is using Bluetooth LE wireless technology, Fitbit Blaze sends smartphone notifications and syncs automatically to computers and iOS, Android and Windows devices. Certain features like smartphone notifications or Connected GPS may require Android 5.0+ I can get notifications but, I cannot connect it to GPS as my phone is poo. it syncs to Bluetooth up to 6.1m  I have had no problems with syncing the Fitbit to my phone running android or my computer running windows 10.  I also use the watch to control my songs on my phone. all together I have preferred this Fitbit more than the charge I had before and would recommend it to people.
