My blog Daily

Pip

We had Pip now for nearly a week and she has settled in very well. The first day we got her our other cockatiels decided to let her out to be with them. which she loved flying around in flock. she now in the big cage with them all very much enjoying not being on her own. She is a little character just yesterday she was on the sofa just going round and round in circles. She loves to watch the finches flying around in their cage. She has tried every food we have given her. She really is just one of the flock. She is still learning out bedtime routine thou she still getting used to flying to the bed cage but hopefully she will do that all by herself in no time. As i am typing this she is playing with the toys in the cage which none of the others have touched so it’s really good to see. I cant wait to see how she gets on over the next few months see her true character come out and of course i will keep you all up to date on her until then here are a few pictures of her

Need to get back to writing

I want to try so hard to get back to writing a daily blog so, I thought I would start today. That all went up the wall when I first tried writing as something took my site down had to get my lovely brother to fix it for me. At the moment I have my niece Hannah staying with me, which is nice and she is actually behaving and I have had no attitude from her.
Tomorrow we were meant to be going swimming, but the pool is shut so, we are going to be doing the housework instead. I hate doing housework, but it has to be done. The weather here has got a lot better we had nothing but the sunshine, which is making me a lot happier. Hate it when it’s dull and grey as there is not much to do when the weather is like that. Though my partner goes into hiding during the warmer months as he blackouts when it’s too hot. As, you all know I like to crochet and I have decided to do make a round temperature blanket which you do by picking a time of the day and either the highest or lowest temperature for that time and do a row for that temperature. So, I have picked midday and the highest temperature. I started this on my 29th birthday and it will end on my 30th. So, I will have something to remember my last year of my 20s.
I am going to go for now and I will write another blog tomorrow maybe have a Sunday selfie as I haven’t done one them in ages. Until then bye for now

Still Hurting

On Saturday (28th Jan 2017) I had a slight accident. I actually don’t know how it happened but I will tell you the story.

It started with me wanting to put my cockatiel to bed they have to be slightly covered or they will keep shouting until they are. So, I climbed on the sofa as the cage is too tall for me to reach and all of a sudden I felt I bang to my head and my elbow was sore and I was laying on the floor. I cannot for the life of me think how I got from the sofa to the floor but did notice I smacked my head on a table as well as my elbow. My partner came to help me as I was holding my head. My oldest cockatiel bobby was still out as she was waiting to go to bed and all she wanted to do was getting to me to. When she did get to me she gave me a big cuddle like she was saying you will be okay. I have still today got a slight sore lump on my head and cannot lean on my elbow or crochet as the pain has also moved into my wrist. I haven’t been to get checked but don’t rush no more as I have broken it twice already and don’t want it to happen again. Don’t fancy sitting in plaster for 6 weeks. Got doctors Friday so giving it until then to ill if still bad I will get her to look at it and probably send me for an x-ray which will be quicker than sitting in accident and emergency. It seemed to of easier of early but it’s now hurting a lot so, going to go to bed and rest it.

Fitbit Blaze

For Christmas this year I got the Fitbit blaze which I have been using since Christmas day. Here is what I have thought of it so far.

In the box, you got the Fitbit Blaze tracker which looks nicer than other Fitbit watches that I have. Blaze Classic wristband I have had to buy a different wristband as I had a reaction to the original wristband

Stainless steel frame looks really nice also helps the watch stand out. Charging cable it didn’t come with a plug so have to plug into the computer unless you have a plug like your phone plug, which is what I have been using.

The Sensors & Components it has a 3-axis gyroscope, Optical heart rate monitor the heart rate monitor works well it knows when I have got my heart rate up into cardio and fat burn. I use this to make sure I am working hard in my workouts. Altimeter, Ambient light sensor and a vibration motor

The Display is a touchscreen colour LCD which is crystal clear and auto changes to the light. Battery and Power the Fitbit is recommended that you charge every few days they say the battery should be fine for five days. I have been charging my Fitbit between three to five days depending what I have been doing. I do get all my notifications through to it so drains the battery slightly. the battery type is a Lithium-polymer and takes 0ne to two hours to charge. Mine so far has taken an hour to charge.

it has Bluetooth 4.0 which always stays connected to my phone or computer. it also saves up to seven days of detailed motion date minute by minute. Saves daily totals for past 30 days. during exercise, it stores your heart rate date each second and at other times it’s five seconds. I have not had any problems and as always connected to my phone so always syncs the information.

Fitbit Blaze is sweat, rain and splash proof, but is not swim proof. it is recommend taking it off before showering, as it’s best for your skin if the band stays dry and clean.I have not doubled checked that if it is or not as I dot want to break my Fitbit and not advisable unless you are going to buy yourself a new Fitbit. If Fitbit Blaze gets wet or if you sweat in it, remove and completely dry the band before putting it back on. Give your wrist a rest by taking the band off every now and then, and regularly clean your band and wrist. I clean my Fitbit every day before and getting up to make sure I don’t get any skin issues I also wear it on the different wrist at night then I do during the day.

The Fitbit Blaze Classic band is made of a flexible, durable elastomer material similar to that used in many sports watches, and includes a surgical-grade stainless steel buckle and frame. The Gunmetal Blaze features a gunmetal stainless steel buckle and frame made with a premium PVD plating process. The Pink/Gold Blaze features a 22k gold-plated stainless steel buckle and frame also made with a premium PVD plating process.I am allergic to one of the materials in the Fitbit band so had to buy my own band for it.

Like all heart rate tracking technologies, accuracy is affected by physiology, the location of the device, and different movements.Love seeing my heart rate as it also then shows me if I need to work harder or not in my exercises Environmental requirements the device should Operate between  -10° to 45° C for it to function correctly and a maximum operating altitude: 8,535 m

Syncing & Notifications it is using Bluetooth LE wireless technology, Fitbit Blaze sends smartphone notifications and syncs automatically to computers and iOS, Android and Windows devices. Certain features like smartphone notifications or Connected GPS may require Android 5.0+ I can get notifications but, I cannot connect it to GPS as my phone is poo. it syncs to Bluetooth up to 6.1m  I have had no problems with syncing the Fitbit to my phone running android or my computer running windows 10.  I also use the watch to control my songs on my phone. all together I have preferred this Fitbit more than the charge I had before and would recommend it to people.

New year not a new start

Normally people start the new year with a new start like saying i am going to lose weight, start the gym and all that kind of stuff. Not me i decided to start the year with freezing my gym membership until march to let the crowds go down with all the people that drop out by then and also save me some money until then. Though this month didnt happen as my gym still tried to take the full amount instead of contacting me to tell me my freeze didnt go through correctly lucky bank recalled it and gym is sorting it out.

I went out for new year with some great friends who i am happy to call my friends we have actully helped me through 2016 and i hope they help me througb 2017. I have alot of fears that i cant seem to get over and i don’t think i ever will but with the help of those i love and are there for me i hope i will.

So, i hope everyone so far having a good 2017 (which i am still finding it hard to think that another year has been and gone) and it keeps being a good year for you

Bye for now

Oh and sorry if any grammer or spelling mistakes i am writing from my phone and doesnt have a checker.
